I rarely write tanka. This one, is originally a spontaneous response to a note --a poetic prayer-- on Chandra Prijosusilo's page. Surely, I did a slight modification to have the tanka below:
a wonderful surprise
laid down at my door
your fourth verse
glowing with prayer
the day has just begun
