Heatwave haiku

1/
heatwave--
if only I could comprehend
mother's grief

2/
she loosens
her grip on our oath
lingering heat

3/
slightly it goes
my laundry line down
the heatwave

Wild mushrooms tanka

wild mushrooms
in our deserted garden
wrapped in silence
we know how this coldness
lingers like cataract

jamur-jamur liar
di taman yang telantar
terbungkus sepi
dan kita tahu tentang beku
yang lekat bagai katarak

Smell of ashes haiku

morning dew
lingers on tobacco leaves
smell of ashes

embun bergelayut
di dedaunan tembakau
bau terbakar
