She then, started to work on new online journal A Hundred Gourds and asked me if I were interested in submitting this to AHG. And, voila! It appears in A Hundred Gourds Vol. 1;1. 

Tuberculosis tanka

the vapor
from the river below
reaches the balcony
where he talks to
his tuberculosis

alternate version goes

from the balcony
gazing at the river down below
the vapor rises
and gathers the air
